Every year for my mother-in-law’s birthday, my father-in-law takes the whole family and family friends to a Texas Rangers baseball game! Last year was the first year we were able to go, as we’d just moved to the state.

My niece holding a sign made to try to get on the Jumbotron. It didn’t make it.
This year, my husband and I were really excited since the boys are a year older and better able to handle such an event.
I did not get very many pictures because it’s just too difficult to juggle two little boys and a camera and I was kind of limited by what I could capture in my seat.

My kids see less advertising on TV than this!
Mr. Serious seemed to enjoy the game, though after the first hour he said, “I’m done with baseball. I want to go home.” He was perfectly fine after that. Boa had an absolute blast climbing in and out of chairs and up and down stairs.
I was lucky enough to get two pictures of myself with my boys! Looking at these pictures really makes me wish I’d put on some makeup or something…. Oh well.
This is a self-portrait with Mr. Serious that was photobombed by our lovely family. Myself excluded, I really like this picture!
My sister-in-law took the next shot of me and Boa. I love it!
There was a burst of fireworks after every home run and of course the Rangers won the game. There was supposed to be fireworks after the game, but due to the wind, the Fire Marshal canceled it. It’s so hard to explain to a 3 year old why something that was promised is no longer happening, but luckily Mr. Serious was too tired to protest much. He did continually mention his desire to see the fireworks throughout the ride home.
Because the fireworks were canceled, ticket stubs from the game can be exchanged for tickets to another game this season, which is very cool!
While none of these are my best shot, I want to link up this week with Photo Story Friday. It’s been so long (if ever?) since I’ve participated! Both of these women are amazingly talented and fellow SITStas, so please check them out!

It looks like you all had a really good time! I love the picture that your sister took(I think it was her at least).

Thanks Ashley! I love that one too! I handed it to her in aperture priority mode after dialing in the aperture and ISO I wanted so it felt like I had some control over it. LOL.
The very first picture in this entry, I’d forgotten my camera was not in auto-focus mode! I’m surprised it turned out anyway.
