To prepare for the SITS Problogger 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge, I’ve decided to take Darren’s 7 Link Challenge which points you through various posts in my archives. This is a fun exercise I recommend everyone take a shot at! If you complete it, make sure to link up to the thread on SITS at BlogFrog!
Without further adieu, here’s my list of seven!
Your first post: That’s kind of hard to answer since I use this site to chronicle my experience with Project 365, yet I didn’t launch it on January 1. My first entry on this site is, Mr. Serious With a Toothpick, which is my first Project 365 entry for 2010! I wasn’t happy with the shot when I posted it, but I’ve come to love it.
A post you enjoyed writing the most: That’s hard to answer since I truly love writing most of my posts! I really enjoyed writing, History Palette Helps With Workflow because it was my first tutorial and I love that shot of Thomas the Train.
A post which had a great discussion: Sadly, I haven’t had a lot of discussions on my site yet, but I hope to! On Water Table, Settings Snafu and Spot Metering there was a nice little conversation about matrix and spot metering.- A post on someone else’s blog that you wish you’d written: So this isn’t a photography related blog or post, but I love Copyblogger’s Improve Your Writing Overnight With The Rule of 24: Guaranteed. Waiting 24 hours or more and doing multiple edits has always been one of my techniques. Many times I do get excited and post immediately after completing an article, but believe it or not, I actually plan a lot of what I write! I love the style of this article and how easy it is to read and apply the advice. I want my posts to be exactly that.
Your most helpful post: I’m surprised I got so much positive feedback from my cropping advice in the Touch-Up Tuesday: Crop’s Up post! It’s nice to know I’m not alone in cropping willy-nilly though!
A post with a title that you are proud of Maybe the post is just too personal, but I like the title, My Broken Heart Can’t Shoot, which details how hard it was for me to pick up a camera when Mark was away for three weeks.
A post that you wish more people had read: I was expecting my Toy Story 3 Review to get more of a response! I guess I wasn’t timely enough.
I’ve been blogging for over a decade, but this blog is still in its infancy. I can’t wait to revisit this exercise in a half a year or more.
Y’all, I am SO excited about the Problogger challenge coming up. There is still time to join in! You don’t need the book to do the challenge, even Darren says that. (It’s pretty much all on the Problogger site.) If you don’t have a copy of the book and want one to participate, Pepper of Pepper Scraps is holding a contest right now to give away one copy of the book!
This is going to be great fun, so if you’ve been meaning to improve your blog, stop making excuses and come along for the ride!

Love your links! Stopping by from SITS!

I love looking through your old posts! I really liked the cropping one, too. I’m interested in getting a DSLR camera sometime this year, so I’m going to need lots of tips!! I’m subscribing to your blog!
Thanks for stopping by mine as well!

I’m glad you liked my links! What DSLR are you looking at? I’d love a new one too, but I’d rather get some new lenses and accessories first. Many of my tips can be applied to point and shoots as well.
