I know I gave Clickin Moms a less than stellar introduction on my Five Ways to Feed Your Creativity for $35 or Less post, however I’m really starting to see the value in them! There’s a board where vendors can post discount coupon codes for their products, such as actions, textures, workshops and the like. Well, I made the mistake of looking in there and found a Kaleidoscope coupon code that was good for $40 off a purchase of $95 or more! (There were two other great coupon codes for Kaleidoscope products too!)
I decided to go ahead and jump on it and complete my collection. I purchased the Supernatural Collection, the Lite Flare set and the Dream Collection. I already had the Gallery Collection and Light Set.
Now, I have regretted buying textures in the past. I don’t want to give a bad review on this blog, but if you want to know whose textures sucked, please send me an email and I’ll let you know privately. I’ve always been so greatly impressed by Patti’s work though. Her textures and overlays are high quality and nothing short of beautiful.
Before and Afters
Here are a few before and after examples of flowers outside of the movie theater we visited yesterday. For these and the other photos posted on this entry, only the Kaleidoscope textures I bought today were used to edit them. No actions or any other corrections out of the camera.

I don’t ever buy textures, because there are so many free ones out there. But I am definitely curious to hear your thoughts!
I love that last one – Illusion 2 and Moonlight Glow. It really makes the colors pop and the details become much more clear.

I’ve only bought one texture pack other than Patti’s stuff and I hated it. (Want me to email you who it was?)
Patti’s Kalediscope stuff is all affordable and fairly priced unlike MOST of the other pay textures I’ve seen.
I have all the Kaleidoscope stuff and I really love it all. The Supernatural Collection and the Lite Set are my favorites! Her stuff is far better than any of the free textures I’ve seen out there.
Everything in her collection together retails for $205. With the Clickin Moms discount, I was able to get everything for $165. Since I bought Gallery and the Lite Set at full price, I could have gotten everything for $125 if I’d bought it all with their discount.
Are you a member of Clickin Moms? I don’t think you actually have to be a mom to join. It’s mostly women, but I don’t think that’s a requirement either.
They have a board specifically for people to post free actions and textures! (I haven’t had time to check this out yet, but I’ve heard people say this alone makes Clickin Moms worth it!) I also like the board where people post a photo and let you edit it.
Yes, please email me! I want to know what sites to stay away from in case I ever have enough money to buy texture sets.
I’ve heard of Clickin Moms, several bloggers have recommended it. I just haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. I really should, one of these days.
