That is great you are getting her chipped and I am sure that will be a great help if she ever disappears again.

I do completely understand what you mean about letting her out and am not judging you in any way. ;) Like I said one of mine just refuses to stay inside right now.

Have a great day,
Sarah

Sarah,

I'm not big into outside cats either, but we're in a house for the first time ever and the cat loves going outside. We like to let her out into the backyard with us while we're out there. We've been lax about letting her stay out there if she's not ready to come in when we are, though and that's where the problem started since we completely forgot about her.

We are going to get her microchipped now! Our dog is microchipped, but the cat has always been an indoor cat, so we never thought of getting her a collar or chip before.

Aww, what a sweet story. I am so glad you found her back! I know as annoying as they can sometimes be I love my little furbabies!!! :)

I, honestly am pretty much against outside cats (for myself and my kitties) because of the dangers but I have one that keeps sneaking out all the time so I am in no place to judge anyone that does have indoor/outdoor cats.

Almost 5 years ago I had a beautiful, sweet kitty go missing after she ran out an open door in the middle of winter. To this day I have no idea what happened to her. :(

I printed out fliers, went to local vets offices, scoured the neighborhood... but I never even had a sighting of her. It was like she disappeared.

So I am very glad you found your kitty back and I would get a collar and maybe a microchip too if you can afford it!

It is around $20 dollars at the vet's office and if she ever goes missing again and gets picked up by animal control they will call you and she can be safely returned.

Good luck with your kitty and the rest of your family and sorry for the looong comment.
