I know I said I was done buying actions and textures, but then I Heart Faces had to go and host a giveaway for Photo Flavors gift cards and I won $50! To top it off, @photoflavors tweeted a special this morning to get 50% off an order. I had to use the codes separately, but I purchased the Route 66 Actions for $39.50 (normally $79) and the Sweet Streets Textures for $19 (normally $69). It was a deal too good to pass up!
I decided to test them on this ordinary, oddly exposed sky image:
I jumped in blind and chose some actions that sounded like they would look good over the image, Cross Food Processed and then Olive Oil and Sweet Champagne on top of that. I gave the final image a little pop with Crispy Blur 2 set to Screen Mode with a layer mask to erase the effect from around the sun.
Maybe I just lucked out, but I’m really happy with the results! I can’t wait to use the Photo Flavors products more; I haven’t even had a chance to look at the textures yet!
As usual, I’ll ask what you think. Any feedback?
