Update: We thought it was just the wind, but we checked the back door anyway. (We’d left out food and left the gate open.) Sure enough, it was her! I cannot believe how much this bothered me. I hate having her around most of the time, but it was so heartbreaking to hear Mr. Serious ask, “Where’s Leah?” all day. I’m so glad she’s home!
- 15lbs, 10 years old
- Grey, Russian Blue style cat
- Green Eyes
- Has a notch off her left ear
- Loud Mouthed
- Demanding
- Friendly and Social
We’d let her out in the back yard last night and forgot to let her back in before going to bed. She must have escaped through an opening in the fence. We feel really stupid, but hope she can be found.

Lovely kitty!
Love how the light is hitting the cat’s fur, it really shows his velvty coat. Pretty green eyes also. Wish the wiskers stood out a bit more though.

OMG. No kidding. She JUST walked through our back door!
Phew! I know I’d be heart broken if one of my furballs was lost! Tell Leah not to have any more adventures!!
@lynda I really hope you find her. I don’t even know what I’d do in that situation.
@fleeceblankie thanks. It’s really getting to me more than I thought it could. I just hope she’s safe, wherever she is right now.
<3 I don't like my Husband's cat very much, but I do think I'd be sad for him if his cat ran away. He loves that horrid cat. She's such a bitch, like, for real. She's MEAN as hell, and she never lets anyone touch her but hubby. She beats up on the other critters, except for Rockett — she loves that schnauzer. She used to suckle on his neckfur when we first brought her home. He hated it, but he tolerated it. I think he could tell she was just a baby, but he always had these nasty little cat spit dreadlocks. Blegh.
Female cats are usually territorial? Well, they know where they live and if they're fixed, they usually don't strat too far away from home, and if they do, it's not usually for that long.

We were really worried. She’s been strictly a house cat for 10 years. We’ve been letting her out in the back yard because she can’t climb the fence. Sometimes she’s stubborn and refuses to come back in, so we just let her stay out there and she scratches at the door when she wants in. But she’s never left the backyard before. We went to sleep early that night and she hadn’t scratched yet. We just completely forgot she was out there.
We were hopeful she would find her way back, since cats are supposed to be good at that sort of thing, but had no idea if she had her bearings well enough, never having used that skill before.
We live really close to train tracks and the neighborhood is HUGE and right off a major highway. It was hard not to worry about her all day.
Oh man, it IS scary feeling. You just never want to think about it.
You reminded me of the time I thought I saw my kid sister’s boyfriend’s dog dead on the side of the road right near their home. I FREAKED out, even though they are the crappiest dogs on the face of the planet. He never trained them, or really taught them basic commands… they’re hyper, jumpy, and when they get excited, they bite. They’re not MEAN, but they’re horrible to be around. Especially when their friends who have kids come over.
Anyways, I called HER in a panic. I asked her to look in her yard to make sure the dogs were there. She said they were. I asked if ALL of them were. (He has two and she has one) She went out to see and told me all of them were. I was terrified. I would have gotten a shovel and a garbage bag and removed it if it was her boyfriend’s dog on the side of the road, because I wouldn’t want him to have to see it. I would hate to see it. That dead dog looked identical to one of his “dingoes” (their nicknames).

SO glad you found her back! I have an annoying male cat, Dream that INSISTS on running outside every time open the door, even if it is just to get the mail or let the dog out, he is driving me nuts!!!
We live by a busy road and I am really worried that he will get hit, but he is too fast and sneaky and keeps getting out and will not come back to me once he is out.
UGH, DARN ANNOYING CATS!!! (why do I love them so much?)
