It got fairly warm outside this afternoon, so Mark hooked up the Waterpillar and got into his bathing suit. I searched high and low and could not find Mr. Serious’ bathing suit anywhere, so we just used a swim diaper.
Mr. Serious didn’t know what to make of it at first, but Mark took his hand and they ran through the spraying water together. It took a little while for him to start investigating the Waterpillar on his own.

This is the face we get when we tell Mr. Serious to say, “Cheese!”
The Waterpillar itself was interesting, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little disappointed in it. The wiggling arms kept getting tied up. It’s cute, but a rotating sprinkler would have been just as fun.
While Mr. Serious was playing in the water, I set Boa down on a blanket in a dry, shady patch of the yard. To my surprise, he stayed on the blanket, though he picked a bunch of grass when he got near the edge which wound up all over him. Some of it, he ate.
