Every year Mark’s parents take the family to a Texas Rangers game to celebrate his mom’s birthday. His parents are HUGE Rangers fans! We’ve never been able to go before, but since we’re living in Texas now, we were able to go! It was a lot of fun.
The night game didn’t start until 7:30 which very close to their bed time! I knew Mr. Serious would be fairly okay, but I wasn’t sure about Boa.
They both did really well. I didn’t pay attention to the game at all because keeping track of them was a full time job. That was fine with me. The atmosphere was fun! Mr. Serious had a good time going from person to person begging snacks from them. I tried explaining to him that the pitcher threw the ball to the batter and he was interested in that for half an inning.
Boa was skeptical of it all from the walk to the parking lot. He was passed around to the whole family and cried on just about each of them. If he was being fed, he was happy.
A little later in the evening, Boa was passed back to Mark and had a grand old time with his daddy. No food required!
We left in the middle of the 6th inning (around 9:30pm). Both boys were still doing okay, but I didn’t want an all-out melt down from each of them. They fell asleep on the ride home and were transferred from the car to their respective beds in their Rangers gear! Luckily their pull-up and diaper were changed right before we left the park.
