I asked for suggestions of things to photograph to keep me going with Project 365.
Recently, he’s been into puzzles. I got him this Curious George Discovery Beach Game and he’s been having a blast with it.
Here’s a description of the game:
“Search the seashore for hidden treasures! Hit the beach with your favorite monkey for a seashore scavenger hunt adventure! Flip a card to reveal your challenge. Then search for sea creatures and colorful treasures hidden below five secret beach locations. Can you find a match? But watch out for waves! If the game spinner lands on a wave, shake the box and the treasures will slide and hide in new locations. Find the most treasures to win!”
You’re supposed to spin and choose which “beach location” to reveal and search for what’s on the card, but we usually just pull all the puzzle pieces out and select cards to find the items. Mr. Serious is getting really good at it! It’s a really cool game and I’m eager to find others like it. We have Candy Land, but he’s just not good enough at following rules to manage that one yet.
Cars are usually a go-to toy, though I’m not exactly sure what started his obsession with them. He likes the bigger cars he can balance his weight on with both hands as he steers it through the house. He likes anything with wheels including his ride-on toys, tiny cars and push toys.
Plant Update: Last week, Mr. Serious and my mom planted some seeds for Earth Day. Mr. Serious has enjoys watering his plants as needed. One of them sprouted, but the other one hasn’t. I’m not sure if the other kind just takes longer or if something went wrong along the way.
