Elias handled the time change so well. I am surprised! He went to sleep at 6:30pm on Sunday after a lot of yawning and long blinks (thankfully no meltdowns) and woke up Monday at 6:30am. Last night, he made it until a little after 7pm and woke up again at 6:30am. He had been going to sleep between 7-7:30pm and waking between 7-8am. I wouldn’t mind if we returned to that quickly because the extra 30-60 minutes of sleep really does make all the difference.
I hate that I don’t take daily pictures of Elias. My camera is just so freakin’ huge. It’s a pain to get out and keep out or grab quickly for a shot. I would absolutely love a nice, small, reasonably inexpensive camera that I could just keep in my pocket. Mark and I could both have one. I wish there was a way I could get one before going to Maryland, but I just don’t see how that can happen.
Ugh. Maryland. I don’t like to travel at all. Once I’m where I’m going, I’m fine, but 12 hours in a car overnight? It’s the worst sort of torture imaginable. I’m pretty sure this is why I’m dreading the trip so much. We’d decided to do this overnight because then Elias can sleep the whole way, BUT now I’m second guessing myself. I wonder how difficult it would be to keep him entertained on the road if we did it during the day. I’m betting it won’t be that bad, especially if we bring lots of snacks.
(Not sure if I’m going to be reported to the government or lose my right to vote for not dedicating a post to the election. Will LJ even accept this post today?)

If I haven’t mentioned it before, Elias doesn’t like getting up after 6am. The average seems to be around 5:30am. I don’t set an alarm…
