I like the idea of karma, though I’m not sure I believe in it. I don’t think there’s any universal force that makes sure people get what’s coming to them. In general though, I believe if you do good things, good things will tend to happen to you. Something seems to be whacked up with karma this month.

A couple of our good friends got into some trouble last night and one of them is possibly facing jail time. I won’t go into the details, but this is happening to them because of a law which simply shouldn’t be a law. It divides families and uses our tax dollars with zero point to it whatsoever. These are good people, honest people. This shouldn’t be happening to them, but it is.

We don’t know how soon we’re ever going to see either of them again. I feel absolutely horrible for both of them and wish there was something we could do.

Yesterday sucked. Today sucks. For them, the sucking will continue.
