G4 (formerly Tech TV) is having a Ninja Warrior marathon. It was on all day yesterday and today as well. It is fascinating! People compete through a course of obstacles (focusing primarily on strength, endurance, balance and agility) in progressing stages until they become a “Ninja Warrior”. It’s so fun to laugh at the people who obviously shouldn’t be competing and root for those who are doing well. They have men and women’s separate (there is only one female Ninja Warrior) and the women’s aren’t nearly as difficult as the men’s. I think the men’s is playing all day today. The announcer speaks in Japanese (I believe; there are English subtitles) and is so excited and animated. And the things he says are hilarious.
If you have a free 15 minutes today, turn to G4 and check it out!

hehehe ive been watching all weekend randomly.. it cracks me up everytime.
My son LOVES this show, and I’ve had to export episodes so he can watch them again and again. He tries to make his own obstacle courses, carefully labeling the sections or trying to jump, crawl and climb his way to the final stage.
We’re just as involved with the participants. We’ve seen nearly all of the Ninja Warriors that have shown, so we’ve gotten to see the guys struggle through their obstacles, sometimes making it through, but mostly failing in crushing defeat because their bodies just can’t make it through Stage 3. The announcer commentary is so fixated on the bodies of the participants — it’s really funny when you start to pay attention to the details.
The women’s Ninja Warrior does get a lot more challenging in subsequent tournaments. I’d hate to walk across those dominos!
Ethan loves that show.

Once in awhile there are Americans, Australians and English peeps on as well.
However, MXC on the Spike channel is funnier. It’s dubbed into crazy dialogue by American comedians.
