I’m shocked because I felt so strongly he was a girl. I guess intuition didn’t get me very far.
We are still trying to pick out a name, but at least now I get to call him a HIM instead of baby or it. We bought a baby book today (one that analyzes names and their popularity, not just a dictionary) so hopefully that will help us. Our girl’s name was all set, so it’s a bit frustrating having to pick out a boy’s name we feel just as confident about.
My follow up appointment isn’t until Tuesday, so I won’t know until then if something is wrong, but the technician didn’t give the slightest indication that anything was out of the ordinary. We got a couple pics, but of course they’re not digital and I’m having problems with my camera right now (more specifically with the computer, not the camera, as its USB ports are being wonky) so who knows when I’ll be able to get them up.
We’re hoping to go to one of those 3D places for one more ultrasound just so we can get some digital pictures. I’m a little irritated by the age of the equipment Kaiser uses, but it’s an HMO, so whatever.

AWW congrats Lynda!! Good luck coming up with a boys name. I’m not even pregnant again and we are fighting over boys names. Girls names just come easier for us. Boys are lots of fun though.

I wouldn’t stress too much about the appt not being until Tuesday. If something was really wrong, they would call you immediately to come in. They will have and review your results pretty quickly.
I am on the fence about the 3D ultrasound. On one hand, I really would like to have one. On the other hand, that’s just one more thing to stress about…
