Tonight Mark and I are going to Dante’s Down the Hatch to celebrate Adam’s birthday. It’s a fondue place; the interior of the building is shaped like an old ship and they have live crocodiles (I’m not sure how I feel about this. I hope they are treated very well.) and a live jazz band playing 6 nights a week.
I’m going to have my camera with me and usually at these sorts of things I am too embarassed to use it, so it stays put away all night. I really want to use it tonight.
Although it would require your participation, I thought a fun way to encourage me might be to send me on a photographic scavenger hunt. You give me things I need to take pictures of and I’ll try to take pictures of them. Y’all game?
Just think of a couple of things that could be found inside an “18th century sailing ship tied to the wharf of a mythical Mediterranean village.” Or things that would be found in a fondue restaruant, or I suppose at a birthday party.
This will only work with your help, so could you take a minute or two to help me?
I’m afraid, as with my last request of this nature, I won’t really get enough suggestions to make it worthwhile. Don’t make me cry, y’all!

Yayayayayay! My new camera is here!
I edited it in Photoshop only to remove some of the green eye.
I’m excited to take some pictures…

The nose of an alligator
A birthday present
People singing (bonus if it’s waiters)
A lantern or period light fixture
A fake bird or pirate memorabilia
Um, also. A CROCODILE!
Don’t feel too self concious. They’ll expect you to take pictures because a) it’s a theme place and b) it’s someone’s birthday. If anything you can just ask the hostess or waitress when they seat you if they mind that you take photos (or ask someone louder to confirm for you!) then you can be the official photographer
trombone
cheese
fish tank
port hole
pineapple/fruit
I looked at the other suggestions so as not to repeat any ideas, but I forgot them all. lol
Augh, LJ ate my comment. Let’s try again.

You’re going to have too many things to take photos of!

It’s, of course, way past dinner time. I am too late to play, but I hope that you take lots of pictures to share.
